Here’s a quick guide for replacing the batteries on your Phone Experts GE Security & Safety devices. So you can get them functioning properly.
GE Motion Detectors
- First of all depress the tab on top of motion detector and detach so you can remove it from the wall.
- Pull away from wall, as a result you will be able to access the back of the unit.
- Depress three tabs on back simultaneously (two on top & one on the bottom) so you can separate the device.
- Pull apart the detector and access the batteries.
- Replace with 2 AA batteries.
GE Door Contacts
- First of all place flat head screwdriver in slot on short side of contact & press down so you can lift the cover.
- Pull up on contact cover and access the batteries.
- Replace with 1 CR123A battery. All Specialty batteries are available at our Head Office location.
GE Door Contact/Low Temp/Water Sensor
- First of all depress button on short side of contact
- Pull up on cover.
- Replace with 2 AAA batteries.
GE Smoke Detectors
- Start by twisting the unit in counter clockwise rotation so you can remove it from the wall.
- Pull away from ceiling or wall so you can access the batteries.
- Replace with 2 CR123A batteries. All Specialty batteries are available at our Head Office location.
GE Glass Break Detectors
- First of all pull top cover off by pulling up on short side so you can access the batteries.
- Replace with 2 CR123A batteries. All Specialty batteries are available at our Head Office location.
GE Key Fobs
- Start by inserting flat head screwdriver into side so you separate, as a result you can access the batteries.
- Slide battery out from enclosure and replace with a new GP23 battery.
